About Iron

Iron supplements are used to treat and prevent iron-deficiency anaemia. They are commonly prescribed in pregnancy. Iron must be separated from levothyroxine, antacids, calcium and certain antibiotics (tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones) by at least 2 hours.
